Toy retailing giant Toys "R" Us has announced that it is launching a video game trade-in program that will accept games from more than 25 current and classic video game systems. Gamers who trade in games will get a Toys "R" Us gift card that can be used to purchase items online or in stores.
The trade-in program requires that games be in their original cases with the artwork intact. The store will scan the game and prices will be offered for the individual titles.
The game will be able to accept the offered price or not and once the transaction is complete the gift card will be given to the gamer. The gift cards can be used immediately in the store for anything carried. Games for everyting from the Atari 2600 to the PS3 will be accepted.
