JVC has introduced a new 3D LCD monitor that is aimed at the professional installer market called the GD-46310. The projector promises a flicker free 3D image thanks to an Xpol polarizing filter that is battery-free and passive. The LCD is 1.5-inches thick and measures 46-inches diagonally.
The screen is compatible with line-by-line and side-by-side 3D video formats. Information for the left and right eye is constantly displayed on the screen so strobbing glasses are not needed. The LCD includes two pairs of battery-free light polarizing glasses.
Other features of the LCD include three HDMI inputs supporting 1080p resolution. For times when 3D content isn’t desired the LCD can also work as a normal 1080p screen. The GY-463D10 is available now for $9,153.
