Are you incapable of watching a movie without 'fixing the sound' on the TV first? Do acoustics mean more than comfort when you're setting up your gaming rig? Do you still own and regularly use a record player? If so, the Korg microSAMPLER might be right up your alley.

Gizmodo describes it as a 37-key sampler/music editing/creation tool for the Mac or PC. It rocks an iPod/iPhone dock, and can be connected to computers via USB or MIDI in/out connections. On its own battery power, the microSAMPLER lasts around 4 hours. It comes stock with music editing software and a microphone.

The Korg has a sampling time internal memory of 42.66 minutes (24 kHz quality) or 21.33 minutes at 48 kHz quality. It has twenty-one built-in effects like distortion, reverb, or chorus, and it has several sample modes as well (one-shot, gate, loop, key gate). At $750, the Korg microSAMPLER isn't a cheap offering, but the coolest toys never are.
