Back in 2007 I reviewed the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin iPod dock and it was a great product, but rather large. B&W has now announced a follow up to the product I reviewed called the Zeppelin Mini. The mini looks nothing like the original, but should sound good as well.
The mini has a new rotating docking arm that allows the iPod to be put into landscape mode for viewing album art. The device also offers USB connectivity, which lets you use digital output via USB from your iPod and stream music from your PC or Mac to the speaker dock as well.
The system also features a 3.5mm headphone input for connecting non-dockable iPods and other PMPs. Inside the case is a 2 x 18W amp and a pair of 3" full range drivers. As with most things from B&W, the Zeppelin Mini is not a cheap product. It is set to launch on October 20th for $399.
