Holiday Gift Guide

Looking for gifts for the Microsoft-loving (or at least tolerating) console gamer in your life? The 360 has a whole host of badass titles (thanks IGN.com) coming to it this holiday season. Here are the biggest upcoming titles for the next few months...

September: There is still one big release left this month. Halo 3: ODST will be out on October 22nd, to many cheers of nerd acclaim. I know a lot of folks who are going to spend the winter on Xbox LIVE again.

October: FIFA 10 will start us off this month, coming out October 2nd. Operation Flashpoint 2 will be right behind it, hitting the 6th. Obsidian Entertainment brings out the highly anticipated Alpha Protocol that day as well. Brutal Legend is probably the most anticipated 360 game of the year, after Halo 3. It will be in stores on the 13th. Enjoy, metal heads. The month will close out with DJ Hero on the 27th, and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City on the 29th. Episodes is a collection of both The Lost and Damned, and The Ballad of Gay Tony expansion packs.

November: This month will see the release of Band Hero on the 3rd, as well as Dragon Age: Origins on the same day. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be out on the 10th, and Assassin's Creed 2 hits on November 17th. Valve's controversial Left 4 Dead 2 will also hit on the 17th. On November 24th, we'll finally get to see Avatar: The Game. James Cameron had better be able to 'wow' us.

December: The Saboteur hits on December 8th, followed by Blood Bowl sometime thereafter. If you never played the tabletop game, you're in for a ridiculous, ork-filled treat. Dungeon Hero, Earthworm Jim (2009), and Metalocalypse: Dethgame are all also due out this month. We might also get to see the revamp of Perfect Dark, along with Konami's new Zombie Apocalypse game. As of now, the December schedule is very muddled.
