Over the weekend 9to5Mac broke a somewhat detailed rumor of two upcoming Microsoft co-branded mobile phones under the already rumored project pink. The Microsoft and Sharp branded phones designed by the Danger guys would be unveiled early 2010 - most likely at the CES 2010. In the rumor 9to5Mac said that they have images of the Turtle and Pure codenamed Microsoft phones. Now 9to5Mac twittered a schematic image of the Turtle Microsoft phone.
Turtle is a great codename for this almost square slider. On the schematic you can read Microsoft+Sharp.
Yesterday Mary-Jo Foley at ZDNet added what she heard from sources regarding Pink. The new Microsoft+Sharp phones would be based on Windows Mobile 7 and targeted at the Sidekick users. Windows Mobile 7 is not coming in the first half of 2010. So the release of the new Microsoft phones might be still very far away.
