Apple iPhone Allowed To Be Sold In Korea

Apparently regulators in Korea have been blocking the sale of the Apple iPhone until now, due to a technical requirement.
Today the WSJ reports that the road is free now for Apple to sell the iPhone in Korea.
Apparently the "Korean FCC" had to make an exception for the iPhone as they usually require Korean technology to be used ofr location-based services including GPS.
Korean carrier KT has said to be talking to Apple about selling the iPhone in Korea.
Korea is one of the most advanced cellphone markets. It would be interesting how the iPhone 3GS is holding up against the feature packed Korean phones. The iPhone has no DMB TV, no hi-res camera and no funky light show.
