ComScore Search Engine Rankings Debut

ComScore has unveiled the latest search engine rankings for August 2009. Over the month, Americans conducted 13.9 billion search queries. The lion's share of those searches were conducted at Google sites with 64.6% market share for Google sites.
Microsoft search landed 9.3% of the search market, less than a half of a percentage point gain compared to July. Yahoo held onto the second place in the search rankings with 19.3% of the market.
Rounding out the top five are Ask with 3.0% of the market and AOL with 3% of the market. The number of searches in August was up 3% from July and a whopping 9 billion were conducted on Google compared to the 1.3 billion conducted on Microsoft.
