Sony announced at the TGS 2009 a price cut for the Sony PSP-3000 console to 16,800 Yen (~$185) in Japan. The PSP price before was 19,800 yen (~$218). The question is now if Sony will also cut the PSP-3000 price in the United States, which is currently at $169.99.
What I see more likely is a price-cut for the PSP Go, as it is priced way too high at $249.99. So as soon as the early adopters got the PSP Go, the price is most likely to be cut.
The Sony PSP made its debut in December 2004 and has sold more than 12 million sell-in units in the Japanese market so far.
