A few years back, the Motorola Razr was one of the most popular feature phones in the country. Moto's recent financial troubles, and their newfound focus on the smartphone market caused many to speculate that the Razr's anticipated sequel, the Ruby, would never come. Thanks to unwired view we now know that the Ruby, now called the V13, is still in development. It's just been approved by the Bluetooth SIG, which means Moto has decided to continue the line.
The V13 will have a 2.2" WVGA internal display, and a 2" external touchscreen display. It'll have CDMA/Ev-Do connectivity, along with Bluetooth and a beefy 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash. The exact pricing and release date aren't out yet, but I expect this feature phone will start shipping off to text-happy teens everywhere before too long.
