Swimmers aren't the only athletes who need waterproof headphones. Marathon runners sweat like there's no tomorrow, a fact that leads to more than its fair share of busted, water-damaged headphones. That's why H20 Audio's new line of headphones (ipodnn.com) are built to withstand the pressures of a real workout, whether its under water or just soaked with perspiration.
Their new Surge Pro earbud headphones and Surge Sportwrap neckband headphones are both built to withstand heavy sweating, and can also be submerged in 12 feet of water without damage. Quality exercise headphones don't come cheap, though; the Surge Pro costs $100, and the Sportwrap costs $60. That's a lot of money for a pair of earbuds, but if you don't have to replace them every three or four months, it'll be worth it.
H20 Audio also released an update to their Interval Waterproof Headphone System today. This box-like device is capable of holding a 3rd generation iPod Shuffle. It's special design allows you to still use the gadget's controls, while the case keeps it safe from water. The protective case also comes with built-in Surge Waterproof headphones. It'll cost you $100, Shuffle not included.
