It's taken a lot of waiting, but the HTC HD2, aka the Leo, is finally here. HTC officially announced their new smartphone today. The HD2 will be available in Europe "later this month", and will then move out to carriers in other regions. Slashgear (via BGR) was told by HTC CEO Peter Chou to expect the HD2 in Q1 2010.
The Leo is easily the most powerful WinMo handset yet announced. It has a 4.3" WVGA capacitive touchscreen, a 5 MP camera with autofocus and a dual LED flash, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, G-sensor, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512 MB of ROM and 448 MB of RAM, HTC's Sense UI, and 7.2 Mbps UMTS/HSPA. Even with the crappy reviews WinMo 6.5 has been getting recently, this smartphone represents an attractive proposition.Posted on Tue, 6 Oct 2009 20:21:48 CDT | by Robert Evans
