The Detroit Auto Show is happening these days. For my taste no real big high-lights. I heard today in the business news that in general the auto industry is hurting. Only Toyota is doing well and tries to increase their sales in the USA by 10% in 2005. This might be a reason why no real wacky concept cars or announcements where made.
The Ferrari Superamerica is of course very nice. It is a 12-cylinder convertible version of the Pininfarina-designed 575M Maranello coupe wtih a $305,000 price tag. Its for Bill Gates and guys like him.
MSNBC has a nice coverage and slide-show from the car show. Funny enough the MSNBC The best of the best from Detroit article starts out with which companies announced iPod support for their cars: Daimler Chrysler (already seen at CES) and also Ferrari announced iPod support.
