Iomega Unveils StorCenter ix2-200 Network Storage Device

Iomega has unveiled its latest network attached storage device called the StorCenter ix2-200. The device offers content sharing and advanced media features to protect data in small and home offices. The NAS device is available in 2TB capacity for $369.99 with a 1TB version coming soon for $269.99 and a 4TB version is on the way for $699.99.
The devices are all compact units designed to sit on the desktop and have a 1GHz CPU inside. Dual 3.5-inch SATA HDD slots are on the rear of the storage appliance. A single RJ-45 port is on the rear of the device and it has three USB 2.0 ports for connecting printers and other devices.
EMC Retrospect Express software is included for backup and disaster recovery with unlimited client licenses. Overall dimensions of the device are 3.7" W x 8" L x 5.6" H. the storage solution is also compatible with Mac and Linux computers.
