Today Acer surprised us all with the official announcement of the A1 Liquid. The A1 will be Acer's first Android handset, as well as the first Android smartphone to pack the 1 GHz Snapdragon processor.
The A1 will launch with Android 1.6 Donut pre-loaded. It comes with a high definition, wide VGA touchscreen, improved power management for longer battery life, a customized UI, and a camera with geo-tagging, ISO, self-timer options, and auto-focus. The A1 also comes loaded with the Spinlets application, which gives free access to video and music from around the world.
More news about the A1 should be released today. Acer has yet to give us a release date, or announce any carriers. We'll update you with further news as it hits.
