Samsung today announced the release of its Lapfit monitors, LD220G and LD190N, for use as a secondary display for notebook PCs also for the United States.
The Samsung Lapfit LD220G and LD190N have an estimated street price of $249.99 and $149.99 respectively and are supposed to be available now.
Samsung announced the Lapfit monitor line in Korea already in February.
Samsung Lapfit displays offers notebook users the benefits of having dual displays to view multiple web sites, documents, tool palettes and widgets. You can have this of course with any LCD monitor, but the Lapfit has the right height to match the display height of your notebook display.
The Samsung LD190N installs with a standard VGA cable. The Samsung LD220G has the added benefit of USB connectivity with Samsung’s UbiSync technology, which allows users to quickly plug-in and manage multiple monitors without using additional video cards or changing system settings. The LD220G also serves as a USB hub to attach additional UbiSync monitors or peripherals.
Settings, such as brightness, backlight and color effects, can be quickly customized with a touch of a key using the MagicColor, MagicBright, Color Effect and Image Size functions. It also maintains 100% image integrity and eliminates distortion using its intelligent image size function to accommodate normal and widescreen content.
The Samsung Lapfit LD190N is already on sale on NewEgg.
