Konami and Takara Toys show off a line of specialized small robots called Tera Robots in Japan.

The companies will launch the Tera Security, Tera AV and Tera Life in 2006 for 150,000 yen. Apparently the Tera AV is able to play a DVD and has a projector lens in his eyes to display the video - strangely cool.
The Tera Life robot measures things like alcohol level, body temperature, blood pressure and body fat. Guess we see soon Japanese visit Sake Bars with their little Tera robot friends.
The Tera Security features a camera, fire detector and gas alarm.

WowWee introduced their new robot line-up for 2005, but they still miss functions that those Tera Robots promise.
