Sony announced a new 3D display prototype that viewers can look at from all sides. Sony calls it therefore a 360 degree 3D display.
The new 3D display will be unveiled this week on October 22nd at the Digital Content Expo 2009 in Tokyo.
The Sony 360 degree 3D display has a diameter of 130mm and is 270mm tall. The resolution of the LED display is only 96x128 pixels, but has 24-bit color depth.
Such tiny autostereo 3D displays are not new. What is new is that you can look at it horizontally from all angles.
Sony will publish a video on October 22nd demonstrating the new 3D display on this page.
