Google is rumored to soon launch a music service according to a report on TechCrunch.
It could be named Google Audio, but this name is not very sexy in my mind. It is not known yet if the Google music service would be streaming like Spotify or a download service like iTunes.
Clearly there is an opportunity for Google to sell music alone for their Android platform would be good. Microsoft sells Music and so does Apple. Google just does the obvious next step. How about calling it YouRadio or ChromeTunes?
Update:
CNET just published a report that the Google Music service would not sell music directely. Codenamed One Box, the Google Music service would offer song previews, artist bios, graphics, and video. You will be able to "browse" music and then buy on sites like LaLa or iLike. Google One Box is supposed to launch next week.
Update:
Google Music Search is Official.
