As reported Microsoft announced a search deal with Twitter making real-time Tweets available on the Bing search engine.
Google also announced now the same deal and will bring real-time Twitter search to the Google search engine. Google has not launched their Twitter search yet, but Microsoft has. You can test their Twitter search here.
For me though Twitter search is only useful if it is presented along with the results of my web query. Another issue is the high replication of tweets that a Twitter search needs to cut through and actually point me to the origin.
The Bing Twitter search actually does a good job in extracting the links shared with tweets related to my search. Note, just found out Bing Twitter search only works on IE. It still in beta so I suppose that is ok for now.
I feel a bit sorry for all Twitter search startups, what they are going to do now?
