Usually pre-paid phones mean crappy, off-brand feature phones with very little 'wow' factor. T-Mobile UK appears to be challenging that trend with the new Android Pulse (via Boy Genius). The Pulse will cost around $292 (in USD) and be available as part of T-Mo UK's pre-paid platform.
This Huawei-made Android smartphone isn't the most impressive machine we've ever seen, but it's no slouch either. It packs a 3.5" touchscreen, 3G, WiFi, GPS, a 3.2 MP camera, and 2G of memory. That's no Motorola Droid or Xperia X3, but it's easily the best pre-paid phone I've ever heard of. Let's hope some carriers stateside decide to follow T-Mo's example.
