Good things are worth waiting for. Just keep that fact in mind if you've been waiting months and months already for the launch of the Nokia N900. While it was initially expected to have an October release, it now looks like we won't get our hands on this sweet little smartphone until November. Reuters (via BGR) reports that Nokia announced a one month delay in the N900's release.
Nokia claims that this delay is due to the fact that they are still waiting for feedback from developers. While annoying to anyone planning to pick up this highly-anticipated smartphone, I think the delay represents a good sign. Nokia knows that the N900 is the future of their company. They may still be the #1 cell phone manufacturer in the world, but their hold on the market slips a little more every quarter. If more time in development will make the N900 a more competitive phone, then that time will be well spent.
When the N900 hits, it'll be the first smartphone to run Nokia's Maemo OS. It packs a touchscreen, a QWERTY keyboard, and will sell for around $750, before any carrier subsidies or rebates.
