If you're like me, the HTC HD2 presented a genuine temptation. If it weren't for the fact that it was a WinMo 6.5 device, the HD2 would have been a much more attractive proposition. Fortunately, it looks like we're about to get our shot at a clone of the HD2 that runs the Android OS. Unlockr (via Gizmodo) has found that the mystery HTC phone that's been floating around the 'net lately is, in fact, the HTC Dragon.
The Dragon is essentially the same phone as the HD2, but with Android instead of WinMo. It packs the same 4.3" screen, the same 1 GHz snapdragon processor, and the same sleek design. The Dragon will be a Verizon phone, branded under the Droid name. We can expect an official announcement this Wednesday, when Verizon throws their big Droid event. It's an exciting time to be an Android fan.
