The Logitech Squeezebox Radio is designed to be simple and in sync with the
user’s home network for Internet radio and DRM-free iTunes collections. The Logitech Squeezebox Radio looks to pack most of the functionality of
the Boom into an even smaller package; that means you can stream your MP3
collections, plus thousands of internet radio stations and music services like
Rhapsody, Napster, Pandora, Sirius, and Last.fm. It looks more appealing than
the Boom with the addition of the color screen and the capability to display
album art, artist/track information, and Flickr slideshows.
The Logitech Squeezebox Radio ultra-compact Wi-Fi music player is as small as a
clock radio but is designed with big audio technology. The Logitech Squeezebox
Radio supports high-resolution encoding that captures a wide range of details,
making your digital music come to life. And the integrated high-definition
tweeter and long-throw subwoofer make sure you enjoy a total sound experience,
from crisp, clean high notes to warm mid-range and deep bass.
Logitech Squeezebox Radio’s 2.4 inch full-color screen and intuitive menus make
it easy to browse through your music and online services. It's as simple as
turning the control dial and making your selection. You can also view album art,
track and station information, visualizers and screen savers. You can even
use your own photos from Flickr and Facebook as a screen saver and in vibrant
colors. Logitech Squeezebox Radio also comes with Facebook integration, a first
on Squeezebox products, that enables you to share your favorite tracks with your
friends.
The Logitech Squeezebox Radio is easy to set up.
Just turn on the power and the music player automatically finds your home Wi-Fi
network. You also have the option to plug in an Ethernet cable. Either way, in
just five minutes you'll be able to start listening to stations across the
planet. You can listen to your iPod tunes in any room just by plugging in your iPod.
The Logitech Squeezebox Radio provides a convenient seven-day alarm and an auto-dimming
display.
What's missing is Terrestrial radio (currently it has either Web radio or Internet radio) and support for iTunes Genius Mix Streams.
