Las Vegas based Easy Energy has announced a new handheld charger set to debut on November 15th. The device is called the YoGen and can recharge any small to mid size personal electronic device without batteries or having to plug the charger in.
The charger is powered by pulls on a ripcord that works sort of like a Yo-Yo. The internal alternator promises to generate enough power to recharge things like cell phones, iPod, PDAs, MP3 player, and portable game consoles.
A patch cord is used to move the power generated into the device. The charger weighs 98 grams and measures 2.1" x 3.5" x 0.9" and uses a mini USB port for power output. I can't help but wonder how many pulls it takes to charge a device.
