The Motorola Droid is currently one of, if not the, most powerful smartphones in the world. But it will soon be joined at that lofty peak by another Android smartphone, this one from Ericsson. The Xperia X3 or 'Rachel' is said to be one monster of a smartphone, with a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 8 MP camera, and 4.1” OLED touchscreen. We'll know for certain if those leaked specs are correct on next Tuesday, November 3rd.

While we wait for our dreams to come true, Ericsson has posted a video on their Youtube stream to tide us over. When I came across it this morning I felt a momentary tinge of excitement that Ericsson had posted up an in-use video. Sadly, this clip is just some eye-candy for smartphone lovers. I have to say, the Rachel is looking mighty hot.

T-Mobile is still the rumored carrier for this ultra-high end smartphone. If true, the Rachel's adoption would be by far the most awesome thing to come of Project Dark. I was planning on switching to Big Red myself, but if T-Mo starts offering the Rachel before the year is out, I may have to reconsider. 4.1” of OLED goodness, the ability to multi-task, and 32 GB of internal storage? Yes, please.
