Garmin Unveils New Aera Series GPS Solutions for Car and Aircraft

Garmin has unveiled a new GPS solution that can go from the car to the airplane. The GPS series is the aera 500, 510, 550, and 560. The devices share many of the same features and the same form factor and only differ in the software included on the devices.
The 510 and the 560 models have access to XM satellite radio. All of the devices have private airport data, terrain and obstacle data and more. The devices are designed to allow pilots to use them once they get to their destination in the car.
Driving data includes turn-by-turn directions and more. All of the units have the same 4.3-inch screen with touch sensitivity and the entire line is water resistant to IEC 529 IPX-7 standards.
