Sirius XM has announced that the XM SkyDock is now available to purchase across the country in retail outlets and online. The device is an XM radio dock that can be controlled by the iPhone or iPod touch in the car. The device allows subscribers to access all available Sirius and XM satellite radio programs.

The dock has an app that installs on the iPhone or iPod touch that is required for use. The app allows the tagging of songs to purchase from iTunes and more. The device uses PowerConnect technology allowing the existing car radio to play the music back.

The SkyDock is compatible with first and second gen iPod touch and all versions of the iPhone that are running OS 3.0. The SkyDock can also connect to the car via an aux jack input.
