LG unveiled a sexy 15-inch OLED TV at the IFA 2009 in August. This week the LG OLED TV is on sale in South Korea according to the Korea Times (via Oled-display).
The LG OLED TV is now the world's largest commercially available OLED TV. Sony was the first to offer an OLED TV with the XEL-1. The Sony OLED only has an 11-inch screen.
OLED or AM-OLED TVs are still just a novelty item. They are way too expensive and screen sizes are too small. The latest predictions say that OLED TVs will be cheaper than LCDs in 2016.
The LG 15-inch OLED TV sells for 3 million won, which is about $2,600. It is not know if LG will offer their new OLED TV outside of Korea any time soon.
