It is Thanksgiving Day and we are tracking many Online Thanksgiving Day Sales from major retailers like Walmart, Target, Best Buy and of course Amazon. Retailers made the whole month of November on big sales event.
I am pretty sure nowhere else in the world is a single day the anchor point for such an over-dimensional sales and marketing effort.

According to the National Retail Federation up to 134 million consumer may shop for holiday gifts this weekend starting Black Friday. This is 6 million more than in the survey NRF had conducted last year.

NRF also polled Americans about their specific Black Friday shopping intentions. According to the survey, 66.3% will hit discount and department stores and 62.4% planning on visiting their favorite big box store.
41.0% will shop at electronics stores, 36.3% will shop at a clothing store and 28.8% said they would shop at a grocery store.
As more retailers offer special Black Friday promotions on their websites, more than one-quarter (27.6%) will shop online.

Enjoy your Turkey dinner, but if you like to shop then today's sale are best online. Tomorrow the real Black Friday madness takes stage in your local mall. Stores without a brick-and-mortar store will offer online Black Friday sales so you can stay home as well.
