You know what's a beautiful combination? Ultraportable PCs and 1080p video. That's why Ion-based PCs are so very sweet. According to Digitimes Asus has just confirmed a whole bevy of new devices, all packing Ion graphics. First off, there's the Eee PC 1201N netbook, which has a 12.1" display, Atom 330 dual-core processor, Ion graphics, 2-3GB of RAM, and a 250 or 320 GB HD.
Next there's the new EeeTop PC ET2002T, the latest Asus all-in-one machine. It features a 20" monitor, Intel Atom 330 dual core processor/Ion chipset, 2 GB of DDR2 RAM, and 250 or 320 GB Hard drives. There's also two new EeeBox net-tops, including the EB1012 (N330 processor, 2-4GB of RAM, 250 GB HD) and the EB1501, which is the same machine with Windows 7 instead of Vista. All of these Ion-machines are out now in Taiwan, and should be making their way across the pond in fairly short order. The new ET2002T all-in-one has me the most excited. It looks like a budget, mid-range all-in-one with Ion graphics, which would make it perfect for a family entertainment PC. It's basically a portable 20" screen that can handle 1080p video.Posted on Thu, 26 Nov 2009 09:36:35 CST | by Robert Evans
