The CrunchPad Dies

Those of you who had the CrunchPad in our 2009 'death pool' have won. Michael Arrington has officially announced the Internet tablet's death in a heart-breaking blog post which detailed the internal strife that preceded the Crunchpad's end. Apparently the gadget was extremely close to production. Arrington and team were almost ready to officially unveil the device and put it up for pre-order when the worst happened.

The short of it is that the CrunchPad is dead and, barring some supernatural intervention, it is going to stay dead.
