eReaders are very hot right now and are one of the fastest growing categories in the electronics market. With many of the most popular eReaders out of stock thanks to heavy demand, there are several companies looking to field their own eReaders.
Netronix is reportedly looking to launch its own line of eReaders that run the Android operating system. DigiTimes reports that Netronix is working with Texas instruments to develop its reader on the Android platform.
The firm expects to ship 1 million units in 2010. The devices will reportedly be able to interoperate with Android handsets or embedded devices. The eReaders will also integrate 3G or 3.5G connectivity along with personal communications devices. The devices are predicted to hit the market in mid-2010.
