Best Buy's Rocketfish store brand has announced a new product called the Rocketfish WirelessHD adapter. The device is an adapter that sends HD signals wirelessly from your source to your HDTV without needing to connect wires between them.
The adapter set will work with most equipment that connects via HDMI like DVRs and HDTVs. The setup is promised to be intuitive and simple to set up right out of the box. The kit includes an HD transmitter, HD receiver, and a pair of four-foot HDMI cables.
The cables are for connecting the wireless adapters to your TV and your component. The kit operates on the 60GHz radio band. It can send 1080p content at 60 fps over a distance of ten meters and supports Deep color, 7.1 surround sound, Dolby True HD, and DTS-HD audio. The big downside to the kit is its price tag of $599.99.
