Sony's X1000 series of Walkman has a tragic history. Despite its beautiful design and large OLED screen, the X1000 garnered poor reviews and was priced out of the market by Sony. Now, though, it appears that Sony has learned from its mistakes. DAP Review (via PMP Today) reports that the X1000 is now down substantially in price.
If you go over to Newegg right now you'll be able to purchase a 32 GB X1000 for just $299.99. The 16GB version is, bafflingly, also priced at $299.99. If you'd prefer a 16 GB version for $199.99, the price will likely be fixed within the next day or so. Just hold on a bit, and I have a feeling Sony will drop it too.Posted on Tue, 1 Dec 2009 11:26:50 CST | by Robert Evans
