Recording at home was a big challenge in the early days of podcasting or home recording for music. Today people can record in their homes with very good results at a modest cost. Samson Tech has announced a new recording kit called the Q2U Recording Pack. The kit puts all the stuff you need to record at home into one package.
The kit includes HP20 headphones and a dynamic handheld mic. The mic has an XLR output and a USB I/O port to allow it to be plugged directly into a sound console or computer via USB. The mic has a built-in on/off switch.
The Q2U mic has a built-in 3.5mm stereo headphone jack with volume control. A cardioids pickup pattern and an A/D converter with 16-bit, 48kHz sampling rates guarantee sound reproduction. The kit is available for $89 and Cakewalk Music Creator software is included as well.
