We reported about the new KeyScan Keyboards that have an integrated Color Scanner (KS810, KS811) yesterday. I wrote that I would not know why a scanner is useful in a keyboard. Today I received several good arguments and new photos from KeyScan on their new product.
The KeyScan Scanner Keyboard is all about zero-footprint scanning functionality.
KeyScan informed us that zero-footprint scanning devices have in the last 15 years of scanner market history, each time they have been introduced taken 20%-25% of the scanner market within 2-3 years.
Examples are the introduction of the the small hand-held scanners in the late 80’s and in the mid 90’s with the small B&W sheet-feed scanners.
As reported the KeyScan keyboards will be introduced at CeBIT show in March.
The MSRP for the KS810 is 149 Euros. Availabiltiy April-May in Europe and the USA.
