Sony out of nowhere announces a new DSC-T model Cyber-shot camera in the USA - the Sony DSC-T7.

After the confusing decision of Sony not to sell the DSC-T3 in the US for the holiday season, this new DSC-T7 is a surprise. Especially because it seems that the T7 has not been announced in Japan yet.

The Cyber-shot T7 is just over a 1/3 inch thick, making it Sony's thinnest, fully-featured model yet. The Camera has a 2.5 inch screen and 3x optical zoom. The battery holds for 180 shots. It features like the DSC-T1 a sliding lens cover.
The Sony DSC-T7 will be available in May for about $500.
