Comcast Gives TiVo New Life

For anyone worried about how TiVo planned on getting out the the rut they continued to put themselves in, Comcast has come to the rescue. The two companies have inked a deal that will see Comcast market TiVo branded hardware, included jointly developed boxes, to the majority of their subscriber base. While Comcast had also recently started marketing Microsoft branded software on their DVR's, there have been many complaints about the stability and reliability of the platform. TiVo and Comcast expect to roll out their joint services in mid-to-late 2006.
