Californian start-up In-Three developed a new low-cost 3D projection technology for cinemas and George Lucas likes it, because he announced to release the Star Wars movies with this new 3D technology.
The In-Three technology only needs one digital projector, so it can be used in standard movie theaters. The image is projected in two slightly offset positions in two different colors. The movie goers have to wear special glasses to see the 3D effect. Supposedly In-Three is easier on the eyes and less strenuous.
I like this kind of stuff, I hope to see it soon in a movie theater near me.
