More Mobile Phones News
The Samsung SPH-G1000 and SCH-G100 mobile phones feature a graphics accelerator chip with 1 million polygon/second performance.
The new Samsung gaming phones also vibrate in sync. with game action. Wonder if they also get into patent issues with Immersion Corp. like Sony did with that feature. Update: I4U Reader Stephen R. tells me that Samsung licenses this technology from Immersion Corp. as does Microsoft. Sony refused to pay license fees for the vibrate feature, that is why there is the lawsuit.
As you can see in the photo the phones provide special multi-keys to be held and played like a normal portable game console.
The SPH-G1000 comes in a slide-up design and includes a 2.2-inch, 262,000-color TFT-LCD as well as a 1.3-megapixel camera.
More details in Samsung Press-Release.
