Neonode announces that it works on a WLAN enabled mobile phone to be released in the second half of 2005.
Neonode has since last fall cooperated with Philips Semiconductors to develop a mobile with low power consumption and WLAN support. The press-release has no technical details. It talks mostly about the benefits of having WLAN capabilities in a mobile phone: Cheap Internet Access, VOIP, higher bandwidth. More details in Neonode press-release. DoCoMo already launched a WLAN mobile phone back in July 2004. |
