German leading technology magazine CT (Heise) started an open SEO competition.
The magazine chose the obnoxious "Hommingberger Gepardenforelle" (translated it means something like Hommingberger Cheetah Trout) as unique phrase to be ranked in top positions on Google.de, Yahoo.de, MSN.de and Seekport.de. CT magazine is looking at the SERPS on May 15th and December 15th. The rather symbolic price is to get published on the magazine's home-page. The motivation for the competition is scientific. The magazine would like to learn what is possible and how today's SEOs optimize their sites. Tons of sites have already been created since the start of the SEO competition two weeks ago. Just do a search for Hommingberger Gepardenforelle on Google.de. More details on Heise (German). Even German's well-known Spiegel news magazine runs a story about the Hommingberger Gepardenforelle SEO Competition. The article is actually written in a way that it will most likely rank very high. Search engine optimization is a little hobby of mine, so I decided to also launch a Hommingberger Gepardenforelle site. If you would like to support my little site, please link to it from your site or blog :). |
