The biggest passenger is set to take off for the first time today in Toulouse-Blagnac international airport in France.
The photo of the first Airbus A380 crew reminds me very strongly on the movie Armageddon with Bruce Willis. The A380 crew does not have to save the world but the face of Europe. The first A380 flight is supposed to take place today at 4:30 EDT (10:30 local time) and is broadcasted live on TV. The 555 to 800 seat double-deck aircraft has had several delays, I am surprised that they would broadcast the first live flight on TV. Hope it goes well. Yahoo has a press-release with Satellite Channel information for the US. Airbus has a setup a special site for the first flight. Update: The Airbus A380 actually flies! Video of take-off on the Airbus site. |
