To take a Photo on the 8100 is the easiest thing.
If you have the phone open you can use the big screen as a view finder. With one button you take a picture. When the phone is close you can use the outside small screen as a view finder. Great for self portraits. There is a button on the side to take a picture in that mode.
After you took a photo the phone offers to keep it. When you keep it you can then either leave it on the phone or share it.
For sharing you have two choices either to email it to somebody. The reciepient gets a nicely layouted html email from the sprint service with the photo displayed.
You also can upload the picture to the online sprint picture album where you have an account with the phone.
