Blockbuster will start on May 17th to offer Sony PSP games for rent at its 4,400 retail-outlets in the US.

Sony PSP games that will be available at launch for rent at Blockbuster stores across the country include Sony's "Twisted Metal: Head-On(TM)," "Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade," and EA's "Need for Speed(TM) Underground Rivals."

All games are available for the standard game rental fee of $6.99, which gives gamers seven days of non-stop play. And, if gamers need an extra day or two, Blockbuster no longer charges late fees. Blockbuster also offers a Game Pass, offering the convenience of unlimited rentals one game out at a time for $19.99 a month. Until the May 16, the Game Pass is available $14.99 for the first month.

As reported Gamefly is already offering Sony PSP game rental. Their deal is $21.95 per month with 2 games out.
