The Nokia 770 is not a mobile phone, it is a Internet Tablet that connects via wi-fi.
The Nokia 770 Internet Tablet features an high-800x480px widescreen display with zoom and on-screen keyboard. Bluetooth connectivity also enables the tablet to connect via a Bluetooth phone into the net. It runs a Linux based Nokia Tablet Software. The Linux Tablet features applications like Internet Radio, RSS News reader, Image viewer and Media players, besides web-browser and email client.
The Nokia 770 Internet Tablet is planned to start shipping in the third quarter of 2005 in selected countries in the Americas and Europe. Price is supposed to be $350!, which would send the Pepper Pad packing.
More details in Nokia press-release.
Nokia is showing the 770 today in New York at the LinuxWorld Summit. MobileBurn will have live photos from the summit later today.
