IBM demoed a prototype of a Linux Blade Server with two CELL CPUs last week in LA to a small group of customers.
Each board featured two CELL processors, two 512 Mb XDR DRAM chips and two South Bridge LSIs. The Cell CPUs were demonstrated running at 2.4-2.8 GHz. IBM said at 3Ghz the boards would have 400GFLOPS performance.
More details on Tech On. (Via Slashdot).
As you know the CELL chip is inside the Sony PS3. Looks like IBM is going to go against Intel and AMD in the Server market as well with the multi-core wonder CPU.
