The CVS pharmacy chain will start selling the Pure Digital Technologies one-time-use digital video camera for under $30.
The CVS press-release proclaims that this is the world's first disposable video camera. Well it is not. We reported in April about the Australian ROAMio recyclable video camera.
The Pure Digital disposable Video camera looks better and has more features. 20 min. of video can be recorded. A 1.4 inch LCD screen is available to edit the video. Customers can return the camera and receive a DVD with the video on it the same day from CVS. The DVD even features an email application to email videos directly from the DVD (only works on PCs).
The One-Time-Use video cameras will be
available in over 4,500 stores by June 26th. The CVS Digital One-Time-Use
Video Camcorder retails for $29.99. Video camera processing is $12.99 and includes a CVS DVD.
Pure Digital has a disposable digital camera with LCD screen on the market since last year.
