Microsoft and Toshiba announce to work together on HD DVD Players.
Microsoft and Toshiba have agreed to investigate development of HD DVD players using Microsoft Windows CE.
The companies also plan to strengthen their collaboration on iHD, the DVD Forum’s latest interactivity format.
They seem to be on the very beginning as the press-release is not revealing more details on the new Windows powered HD DVD players.
The battle between Toshiba and Sony regarding the next generation DVD format is still not resolved. I guess they take a break during Summer.
